Decades of Veterinary Service & Expertise in Morris County NJ
Community Animal Hospital originally opened in the mid 1970s, serving area pets in a small storefront across the street from its present location. The hospital expanded several years later, moving to the larger free-standing building situated at our current site.
Dr. Warren Davis took ownership of Community Animal Hospital in the winter of 1985. He completely upgraded all of the equipment and extended the hours of operation, so as to be more convenient and accessible to our working clientele.
At that time, Dr. Davis was only one of three board-certified veterinary internists in the state of New Jersey. In addition to practicing regular veterinary medicine, Dr. Davis saw many referrals from local veterinarians. He was then, and continues to be, widely sought for his veterinary expertise.
A large addition was added to the hospital building several years later, resulting in a state-of-the-art surgical and advanced radiology suite. The remainder of the building was completely remodeled at that time as well.
Over the years the practice steadily grew, as did the reputation of the veterinarians and pet care staff. Today Community Animal Hospital is considered to be one of the finest in the state, both by the veterinary community and our very special clientele.
Dr. Warren Davis shares the story of his logo:
“Our logo has special meaning for me and my family. The current logo was originally taken from a watercolor painting. My dad painted the image of the boy holding a puppy, using my nephew as a model."
"A good artist friend of mine then modified the painting, turning it into the line drawing to be used as our logo. Today, this image stands as an important reminder of the enduring relationship between pets and their owners.”
